LONG DESCRIPTION
------------------------------------------------------------------

Personal AVI Editor is a fast and easy-to-use AVI video editing
program with one video-track and one audio-track. Digital effects
include fade, wipe, wave-mix, titles, and super impose. More
digital effects are available. Personal AVI Editor can capture
audio and/or video. It also features synchronization of tracks and
a preview function.

A plug-in SDK is available free of charge upon request.

INSTALLATION
------------------------------------------------------------------

Unpack the ZIP file (if needed) and run PAE155.EXE to install.

VIDEO FOR WINDOWS RUNTIME
------------------------------------------------------------------

Remark: The Video for Windows runtime is only required for
Windows 3.1.

If you don't already have the latest Video for Windows runtime
installed on your computer you can obtain it from
http://www.flickerfree.com (select Software) or from
http://www.microsoft.com/kb/softlib (in the Find a specific file
type video for windows run-time and press the GO! button).

386DX CPU, 4Mb RAM, 640x480 resolution with 8 bit color (256
colors), 8 bit sound card, MS-Windows 3.1, mouse and 4Mb hard

Pentium CPU or higher, 16Mb RAM, 800x600 resolution with 16 bit color

We welcome you to use the Personal AVI Editor shareware version on
magazine cover discs free of charge on the following terms and
conditions.

1) Make sure that you have the latest version (check out
   http://www.flickerfree.com).
2) Download PAE1xx.ZIP (Personal AVI Editor) and VFWxxx.ZIP (the
   latest Video for Windows runtime) and unzip them to the same
   directory.
3) Make sure that you OVERWRITE THE CTL3D.DL_ FROM PAE1xx.ZIP
   WITH THE CTL3D.DL_ FROM VFWxxx.ZIP
4) Make sure that you DON'T OVERWRITE THE FILE_ID.DIZ FROM
   PAE1xx.ZIP WITH THE FILE_ID.DIZ FROM VFWxxx.ZIP
5) PAE1xx.EXE is used to install the program.
6) Please notify us when you're using Personal AVI Editor on a
   cover disc. We would like to know what magazine and which issue
   you're using it for. If possible please also mail us a copy of
   the magazine and cover disc. Thanks in advance.
